Dr. Mark Dickman commissioned Joshua Tomlinson to compose a work for the UNF Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble to be premiered at a conference in Tennessee in May. As a warm up, the ensemble played their conference program for a local audience in Jacksonville May 8.

The Jacksonville Electroacoustic Music Festival (jemFEST) has been honored as the recipient of the 2022 Eisen Experiential Learning Award. From Jacksonville, Florida the UNF NuMIX ensemble will perform Joshua Tomlinson's Trial By Fire at the CBDNA Southern Division Conference in Columbia, South Carolina this Friday. The broad dynamic three movement work was composed by Joshua Tomlinson for wind symphony and live electronics, and this performance will debut a simplified score for the smaller ensemble. Dr. Tomlinson traveled to South Carolina with the ensemble to perform the integrated electronics.
